Hi

Thanks for checking out Wellspring!

A little about myself:

Five words that describe me:  Dreamer, encourager, strategist, learner, contemplative.

I am originally from Nebraska.  That’s where I grew up and where Scott and I met in college.  We have been friends ever since.  It’s also where I met my wife, Rose.  We got married and moved to Colorado in 1989.  We will have our 20th anniversary July 25, 2007.  Rose and I have 3 kids:

Calvin (age 12) Calvin is in 7th grade, loves basketball, his XBOX 360 and wants to get a new Zune.  He also loves to sleep.

Kendra (age 9) Kendra is in 4th grade, loves to read, sew, and is an animal lover extraordinaire.  She has 2 Guinea Pigs

Paige (age 7) Paige is in 2nd grade, loves to sing, dance, and eat lots of snacks.  If we could just get her to use her energy to clean her room

I am a Staff Pastor at a large church in the Denver area,  I love to play golf and spend time hiking in the mountains. I also love helping people grow into a deeper connection with God.  Which brings me back to Wellspring.  Scott and I started Wellspring because God is prompting us to be an encouragement to others by inviting them to join us on this incredible journey of freedom in Christ.

I would love to hear from you anytime about your thoughts, your struggles, or any other part of your story you’d like to share.  Connect with me at:

If you’d like to know more about me personally I have my own blog.  Here’s the address for that:

    Dave,
What a great ministry! There is no better way I can think of (except maybe sitting in my chair) to really
connect with God-out in the beauty of His creation. I
know God will be with you and Scott in this.I love how you are always encouraging us to go deeper.

    Dave (and Rose):

I still remember our days at UNL/CCCF with great fondness. If it were not for the campus ministry there, I don’t think my young faith would have taken hold. I’m coming up on my 20th anniversary in Illinois, where the biggest hill to climb in my town is the dirt pile from when they dug out the swimming pool!

Thank you for the piece you wrote on Psalm 23. It was yet another confirmation that God is speaking to me about my frailty. I especially appreciate that I am not the only one who wonders why she isn’t more “put together or strong.” Today’s “Jesus Calling” by Sarah Young, says “I have gifted you with fragility, providing opportunities for your spirit to blossom in My Presence. Accept this gift as a sacred treasure: delicate, yet glowing with brilliant Light. Rather than struggling to disguise or deny your weakness, allow Me to bless you richly through it.” References: Isaiah 42:3; Isaiah 54:10; Romans 8:26.
I minister to 8 children daily, which is a true blessing to me, but humbles me and causes me to realize daily how much I need to lie down in God’s green pastures, be restored, rejuvenated, so that I may be poored out once again for His purpose.

    Only because of Him, Cindy
